Annual Report 2015

2015 was a year that saw the homeless and housing crisis escalate further with the numbers in emergency accommodation increasing month after month, social housing at a virtual standstill with over 100,000 people on the housing waiting list and rents continuing their upward spiral. In the Simon Communities, our key focus is to work with people to address their immediate issues while also supporting them to plan for their future. At the time of writing, nearly 7,000 people are trapped in emergency accommodation; most of them have no place to go.
