Our team consists of the Executive Director, Head of Strategic Fundraising, Corporate Manager, Policy Analyst, and Social Media and Fundraising Administrator.

Executive Director – Ber Grogan

Ber Grogan joined the SCI team in January 2025. Having worked in the charity and political sectors for over two decades, Ber is bringing a wealth of knowledge, experience and passion to this role. Ber has joined us from Mental Health Reform, where homelessness and mental health difficulties were a part of her work. She has worked directly with young people experiencing homelessness, on legislation and amendments to address homelessness and has been involved in many campaigns in this area.

Chairperson of SCI Board – Mick Price

Mick Price is the Chairperson of the Board of the Simon Communities of Ireland. Mick Price (I.C.P.; A.C.I.; and I.G.A.S) is an addiction counsellor and supervisior accredited with A.C.I. and he has over 30 years of experience working with addiction issues, specialising in working with Relapse groups and support for family members. He is also a group analytic psychotherapist, training analyst and supervisor accreditied with I.G.A.S./I.C.P. he acts as consultant to the charity/voluntary sector across a broad range of issues from change management, governance issues, succession planning, executive selection to strategic planning. Mick was previously chair of Merchants Quay Ireland and Aiseiri, and also ran a wide range of groups on a voluntary basis for Aiseiri for over 20 years. He is a passionate believe in the intrinsic value of voluntary commitment. Mick spent over 30 years as a senior executive in a variety of roles in the financial services sector.
